Pool time

Today we went to a pool we haven't tried before. There are a very limited amount of pools around me and our local one is freezing cold. Most pools are only one depth and obviously not child friendly.

We still need to go to real water parks, like water world - but then we need a dog sitter.

So, we chose Dimensions in Stoke on Trent. It is a 40 minute drive from us, but to be honest, absolutely everything is a 40 minute drive away.

It's £10.20 for two adults and both my children are free, as they are under five. The pool was warmer than most and the locker room was boiling. A pet peeve of mine are freezing changing rooms. It really is the last thing you want when you are soaking wet.

The lockers, however, are from medieval ages. Or actually the Iron Age, as they are made from metal but most likely made from the very first metal ever sourced. It was yellowing beige after all...
It also ate my 50 pence. So it cost £1 and you don't even get the money back! They should be ashamed.

In conclusion; pool - warm, clean, fun for toddlers.
Rest of the area; toilets stank of pee, toilet paper stuck on the ceiling and all metal and plastics old yellow. Definitely need an upgrade to say the least!

  1. Stockport swimming pools aren't too bad - plenty of baby/family changing rooms, newer lockers and generally clean and tidy, also a lot cheaper :)
