Pregnancy week; 17

12:43:00

Today I'm 17 weeks and 4 days and I woke up, after all night dreams, feeling tired, ill and with back pain. Not a good start to the day! I still feel horrible right now :( The kids screaming and complaining really isn't helping either (husband is even worse!) So I'm feeling so annoyed that I'm not allowed to be sick for one day. I am the only one taking care of people (and the animals) around here and I never get any respect back. These things are hard enough Not being pregnant, but you do realise how little others help out when you just need a quiet moment and I'm made to feel like I'm joking!
Kids and men will never know how it is growing babies, and that's a frustrating thought.

Other than obviously being very moody this week, I've been experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. It's not something I've noticed in my previous pregnancies and they're not comfortable - which probably contributes to my bad mood. They feel like a tightening under my belly button where my whole lower stomach tenses up, that in itself isn't painful but when I get them I feel really poopy and sick, with some internal cramps. This in turn is making my back feel sore!

I still don't feel like my stomach has 'popped' either. When I lay down it's completely concave, nothing at all indicating a large yellow onion sleeping in there - and sleep is something baby must like a lot. Going from a lot of movements early on to now not feeling them more than once a day if I'm lucky, obviously must have to do with baby's sleeping pattern. Fetuses don't sleep/dream until second trimester so they do constantly move early on from reflexes and trying out their skills. After all that I'm sure they just need a nap. I'm not complaining yet though, because Eden's movements in my stomach was incredibly painful and I thought I was going to explode.

It's crazy to think I'm soon halfway through this pregnancy. It still doesn't feel real!

I bought this jacket and leggings for the baby when it's 3-6 months. I'm already thinking ahead to spring fashion ;) Both from F&F.
