Happy Halloween!

I hope you all had a great day yesterday with loads of sweets and Trick or Treating! We did. We had plans on doing loads - we were going to bake carrot scarecake and play Trivial Pursuit and paint pumpkins, but Gary has a bad back so I was left doing it all so we spent all day watching movies... Casper, Hocus Pocus and weird kids stuff. Then we went around the neighbourhood asking for sweets. It took Skyler the whole walk being carried but towards the end he understood that if you knock on people's doors they give you sweets. So the last house he was literally knocking so hard like his life depended on it. It was so cute!

We had a lot of fun even though we were a bit restricted in what we could accomplish. The kids fell asleep on the sofa and we ended the evening finishing off the season of Stranger Things - who makes a series with only 9 episodes???

This little man though. Last year when he was ten months, he helped decorating the house. He was playing with plastic knives and having a hoot. This year he freaked out when I took out the scary clown (which had to promptly go back in the cupboard) and was crying his eyes out every time he spotted a fake spider. It's been really difficult trying to make a scary Halloween for Jesse and Eden, whilst keeping it friendly for Skyler. He point blank refused an outfit (even George Pig was too much for him) so Gary got him a skeleton top with a tummy filled with sweets. Hard work!
